Professional Clutter Clearing Practitioner Training, 2025
led by Richard & Karen Kingston
The 2024 Clutter Clearing Practitioner Training is full. The next training will be in 2025.
About the training
This training is not like any other. We believe it is the most advanced professional training offered anywhere in the world for people who wish to learn to help clients to clear their clutter and – most importantly – help them understand why they accumulated it in the first place and change that behaviour. Without this depth of insight, the sad fact is that most people’s clutter tends to pile up again.
It also includes advanced personal energy management techniques that are essential for all professionals in this field of work to know and practice.
Who the training is for
This article explains who this training is for and who it is not for:
About professional clutter clearing
The format of the training
The training is in two parts. Part One is designed to give each participant the knowledge and skills to work professionally with clients. This is then put into practice in Part Two. Completion of both parts of the training to the required standards is needed for Clutter Clearing Practitioner certification.
Part One (April 5-25, 2025)
A 21-day online course taught by Richard and Karen Kingston on a private message board with additional group webinars and one-on-one tuition.
Part Two (May 1 – Sep 30, 2025)
Five months of case study tuition conducted via email, video conferencing, and a private message board.
It’s essential that you work through all levels of your own clutter before offering this service to others so that you know first-hand what is involved and are not preaching something you do not practice yourself. It’s also important to have sourced your own clutter issues so that you do not project them onto clients.
If you are interested to take this professional training, the first step is therefore to take the following courses and actively participate in each of the steps:
- Fast-Track Clutter Clearing
- Zero Procrastination
- Clear Your Paper and Digital Clutter
- Declutter Your Clothes
- Living Clutter-Free
These are not professional courses but the information included in them and the experience of taking them will provide the necessary basis for the knowledge and skills taught in the professional training.
The content of these courses evolves substantially each year, so to be eligible to apply to take the next Professional Clutter Clearing Practitioner Training, it will be necessary for you to have taken the courses in 2020 or later. If you have taken earlier courses, they will not qualify.
Participating in these online courses will not equip or qualify you to do professional clutter clearing and will not automatically mean you will be accepted for our professional training program. The courses have been structured with the intention that each person will get value from them regardless of whether or not they go further, but we will only be inviting the people we feel confident we can train to continue to take the professional training. We have no wish to waste anyone’s time or money.
Part One Training
Part One consists of a 21-day online course (April 5-25, 2025) conducted on a private message board with additional group webinars and one-on-one tuition from Richard and Karen Kingston. It will cover all the knowledge and skills associated with learning to do professional clutter clearing and each trainee will receive a personal copy of our Professional Clutter Clearing Practitioner Training Manual to keep.
We will do our best to schedule the webinars at times that will work for everyone and will make catch-up arrangements for anyone who is not able to attend.
Participating in Part One will not in any way qualify you to do professional clutter clearing and will not automatically mean you will be accepted for Part Two, which is the most challenging part of the training. Most participants do continue to Part Two, but it is not guaranteed. Each person will be assessed on an individual basis.
Testimonials from previous Part One trainees
I liked that Karen and Richard are real people… approachable, personable, very ethical, and full of integrity. I feel well-equipped and confident to go out to do my case studies. The training steps are easy to understand and follow. – American participant
I know that Karen says you need to have a sense of humor when dealing with clutter, but I hadn’t realized we would laugh so much or have so much fun while learning to help others to clear their clutter! – American participant
Although there was a lot of content, there was a calm, unhurried pace, which I appreciated. I liked Karen and Richard’s teaching style, which was relaxed but never lost its focus. – British participant
Part One Training Fee
The Part One training fee is £1,150 (plus 20% VAT for UK residents). This can be reduced to the Early Bird price of £990 if a 50% deposit is paid by November 30, 2024 and the balance by December 31, 2024.
Note: The Part One Early Bird price can be extended, on request, to December 7, 2024 for anyone taking the Living Clutter-Free course in November 2024.
Part Two Training
Part Two consists of five months of onsite case studies during May to September 2025, which will be reviewed via email, online video conferencing, and a private message board. All trainees will receive one-on-one and group tuition directly from Richard and Karen Kingston.
The number of case studies required will vary from person to person, depending on how quickly and easily you are able to achieve the required standard, but it is expected that most trainees will need to do five. If more are required and there is still time to do them before the training ends, there will be an additional fee (currently £250 per case study, plus 20% VAT for UK residents).
To participate in this part of the training you will need to be able to send and receive emails and Word documents, use video conferencing technology, and have a good enough command of written English and typing to be able to write your own case study reports.
If the certification level has not been attained by the final day of the course then it will be necessary to apply for further training.
Testimonials from previous Part Two trainees
There is nothing else in the world that I know of that is even remotely close to this training. If you truly want to help people remove clutter from their lives for good, then taking this course is the only way to go. You will change your clients’ lives and your own life as well.
I am not the same person who signed up for the first online course – I believe none of the trainees are. I remember emailing Karen that I thought this course would be life-changing. I had no idea. An interesting thought after having been certified is now that I have completed the training, I understand how much more there is to learn!
The training is not a walk in the park and I believe only other trainees understand the intensity of the course. That being said, studying with Karen and Richard is invaluable. It is worth the time, money, and effort spent. You can then begin to help change the world for the better; one client at a time.
Part Two Training Fee
The Part Two training fee is £1,200 (plus 20% VAT for UK residents).
If you are invited to continue to Part Two, this fee will need to be paid in full by three days before the training start date so that you will be ready to begin Part Two on time.
Booking Terms & Conditions
All participants are required to sign a Training Agreement after booking Part One.
It is a condition of registering for the Part One training that each participant agrees NOT to claim to have been trained by Richard Kingston or Karen Kingston as a Professional Clutter Clearing Practitioner if they do not complete both parts of the training or do not maintain Continuing Professional Development requirements after certification. This would be unethical and unfair to those who do the work of achieving and maintaining certification status.
If full payment has not been made by December 31, 2024, you will no longer qualify for the Early Bird price. A balance of £655 will be due by January 31, 2023.
If full payment has not been made by January 31, 2025, your place will be forfeit and will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. Your deposit will be refunded if another participant takes your place.
Registrations are non-transferable to another course or person, and no refunds will be made for any parts that are missed for any reason. If it is necessary for you to cancel your participation in the training program, the following refunds will be made:
Up until November 30, 2024, a full refund of all payments made.
After November 30, 2024, refunds will only be made if another participant takes your place.
Up until three days before the training start date, a full refund of the Part Two fee will be made upon request.
Within two days of the Part Two training start date, no refunds will be made.
All cancellations must be notified via our Contact form.
In the highly unlikely event of either part of the training being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the fees for that part will be refunded in full but no compensation will be paid for any expenses incurred by any participant.
